Combining accurate 1-inch deep (2.54 cm) readings with Bluetooth connectivity and WoodStat™ Pro software, it helps you move from moisture measurement to analysis and reporting without interrupting your workflow.
Powered by Wagner’s IntelliSense pinless sensor technology, the L5300 measures moisture within the wood, below the surface. Choose from 46 built-in wood species and customize your meter’s list with up to 100 total entries for readings tailored to your materials—and with access to thousands more in Wagner’s online wood species database.
Its redesigned screen interface makes readings easy to navigate, while the histogram display reveals moisture variation at a glance. Store up to 1,000 readings per Group, across 100 Groups, to keep your moisture data organized.
Capture readings more quickly and with less effort using patented Auto-Reading Mode, which automatically takes a reading when you pause on a board, without a button press. Continuous Reading Mode takes three readings per second as you sweep across a board or lumber pack, helping you quickly assess moisture variation.
For checking moisture deep within stickered stacks, connect the optional L722 Lumber Stack Probe to identify inconsistencies that could affect drying decisions and product quality.
Connect the L5300 to WoodStat™ Pro on your phone, tablet, or computer to transfer readings, manage custom species lists, analyze moisture data, or to create and share reports. Available for Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows, WoodStat Pro helps you keep moisture data accessible in the yard, at the kiln, or in the office. iPhone and iPad connect via Bluetooth, while Android devices, Mac computers, and Windows PCs support both Bluetooth and USB connections. For additional analysis and reporting support, WoodStat Pro includes an optional AI Assistant that you can enable in settings. It is turned off by default, giving you control over whether to use it. The L5300 comes factory-calibrated and includes an On-Demand Calibrator for verifying accuracy and performing on-site calibration. An optional NIST-traceable calibrator is also available.
