The Floor Sentry® embedded wood floor data logger is a card-sized device featuring temperature and relative humidity (RH) sensors to monitor and record up to 16,000 internal temperature and RH readings within your wood floor as well as the temperature and RH on the surface of the concrete subfloor or underlayment. Floor Sentry connects, via Bluetooth, to the free Wagner Sentry app for instant monitoring of floor or underlayment conditions, setting alarm threshold levels, viewing graphed progress, and more. This device can protect your installation liability and your wood floor investment.

The Smart Logger V2 monitor incorporates the latest Bluetooth® technology and works in tandem with the Wagner Sentry app, which can be downloaded for free at the Apple Store or Google Play. The app connects the Smart Logger V2 monitor through a mobile device’s Bluetooth (Android or iOS devices), enabling users to easily transmit and record data, and even send reports via email.

The Wagner Sentry app also integrates with the Smart Logger V2, an ambient conditions data logger. By pairing your Smart Logger V2 and Floor Sentry to the Wagner Sentry app, you can view both the ambient and in-floor conditions simultaneously.

Why Floor Sentry?

Installing a Floor Sentry with your new wood floor helps protect your investment. Wood flooring may be at risk of damage or catastrophic failure if exposed to unfriendly ambient conditions. This unwanted exposure can occur either from inside your home or building or from the underside of the flooring (what is often called the subfloor).

How Do I Use The 1-Year Warranty?

What Does Floor Sentry Measure?

The Floor Sentry operates directly inside your wood floor, monitoring temperature and relative humidity (RH).

Can I Customize Alerts?

Yes, you will need to use the Floor Sentry device with the Wagner Sentry app to customize and set preferred/recommended readings. If either the temperature or the RH falls outside your desired range for proper floor care and/or avoiding potential floor damage, the Floor Sentry alerts you automatically, delivering notifications wirelessly to your mobile device. You must be within Bluetooth range to receive Floor Sentry notifications.

How Many Floor Sentry’s Do I Need?

Place one Floor Sentry for every 1,000 square feet, and at least one on each story or level. If the floor has radiant heating zones, then install one Floor Sentry for each heating zone.

How Do I Connect to the Wagner Sentry App?

Step 1: Install the Floor Sentry in your wood flooring.

Step 2: Download the Wagner Sentry app from either the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Step 3: Open the app, give your Floor Sentry device its own unique name, adjust the default settings (as needed), click the Device Installed button on the Device Settings screen, and you are ready to begin monitoring temperature and RH at whatever frequency you desire.

Can I Install Floor Sentry Within Thin Wood Planks?

Wagner Meters does not recommend installation in boards with thicknesses less than ½ inch.
