Leagues ahead of crappy loggers of the past! This one's AWESOME.

This little gadget is a must-have if you work in carpentry or millwork. We had the crummiest loggers in the past, ones that you had to plug into laptops or bury in the woodwork. This is something else entirely.

You can screw this into place, and it remotely captures real-time humidity and temperature data. It's really accurate, too, and I love that you can set alarm ranges so you know the exact moment things are going to start to warp, and you need to get back out to the job site. This will save you THOUSANDS on the job by preventing warping.

It's very discreet and small, easily fits in the palm of your hand. I'm going to talk to my boss about investing in several more of these.

Best of its class

This is a legit piece of kit from a reputable brand.
This is best suited for something mobile, or somewhere remote.
Incredibly easy to use. Program this for the intervals you need, stick it somewhere, then come back once in a while to sync all its datapoints.
The app does a pretty good job at displaying the data on a graph so you can check at a glance if it’s within your tolerances.
You can also easily check the individual datapoints in a list.

The only criticism I have is that the graph display doesn’t show the hours/minutes, even when zoomed in. You have to check the datapoint tab for that.

Temp and humidity seem to be very accurate when comparing against several other sensors in the vicinity.

It’s small enough that you can put it just about anywhere. It also comes with double sided adhesive so you can stick it to anything.

The battery life is advertised as 3 years. I could see that if the datapoints are set to record every hour or two.
If you are interested in recording temperature events, use the alarm feature so it records more datapoints only when the thresholds are triggered.

Extremely useful data logger

I’ve been on the lookout for a temperature and humidity data logger. This particular one is very high quality. It came in high quality packaging and included color printed instructions. My printed instructions only had a QR code for the Apple App Store app. I had to search for the app on Android. Other than that minor hiccup, installation and setup was easy.

This datalogger is very compact. It can be wall mounted, if necessary. The Bluetooth pairing went quick and the range is impressive. Using the Android version of the app so far has been very stable and user friendly. I really didn’t need the instructions to do anything. Everything in the app is pretty straightforward. This device is Bluetooth only. There is no WiFi option. So, you have to physically be in range to download new data into the app on your phone. Checking against one of my non-smart thermometers, this datalogger is spot on for temperature. The charting looks great.

Powerful Data Logger with an Excellent App

This little data logger is exceptionally well-made and surprisingly powerful for its compact size. For those curious, I opened it up to find it uses a CR2450 3V battery. The accompanying app is excellent and a huge part of what makes this product so useful. Setup is a breeze, with a QR code that links to a very helpful video walking you through every step. Once you have the app downloaded, you can easily sync the logger to your phone via Bluetooth.

The app gives you full control over the data logging frequency, letting you set it to specific seconds, minutes, hours, or even days. The device can store a total of 16,384 data points, which at the 4-hour logging frequency that I chose, equates to over 7 years of data storage. A particularly useful feature is the ability to set alarm thresholds for both temperature and humidity. When a reading goes outside your set range, the device automatically increases its logging frequency. For example, I have mine set to record every four hours normally, but it switches to logging every 30 minutes if the temperature or humidity gets too high.

It's important to note that this is a data logger and not a remote alarm system. It will record data when thresholds are exceeded, but you must be within Bluetooth range to sync the data to your phone and see the alerts. It does not send notifications via text or email.

Overall, a fantastic and user-friendly device for monitoring environmental conditions.

Humidity readings off and slow

While this logging sensor is built really well, and truly a set and forget it type device, the humidity sensor on this one isn’t that great. First observation was the humidity sensor is really slow, as in it took a couple days to go from 45% to 62% in a constant humidity environment. It may speed up, but who knows. Second is the humidity readings are off on average 5% from other units right next to this one in the same environment. Temperature however is accurate and responds just fine.
The app on iOS is pretty easy to use and setup was simple.
If the app were to be updated to allow adjusting reading offsets, that would make this device a real winner amongst the rest.
I really like this sensor logger, but was a bit let down because of the humidity sensor.
It still works for me, but test yours before installing it on something critical.
