What is an Orion pinless moisture meter?

The Orion series of pinless moisture meters features accuracy, versatility, and quality that can’t be found in other meters. Incorporating enhanced technology, the Orion line leaves our competitors in the sawdust with high-speed moisture content readings, on-site calibration, and relative measurement mode for non-wood products - all backed by our industry-leading 7-year warranty.

How does an Orion pinless moisture meter work?

Orion Pinless meters send out electromagnetic waves from the sensor pad, creating a field that scans the area underneath. The meter then interprets the signal it receives back to provide an accurate moisture content reading. Unlike pin-style meters that measure in one small spot, pinless meters scan a larger area, giving you a more complete picture of the wood's moisture content.

How do I send readings from my Orion 950 to the FloorSmart app?

To send readings from the Orion 950 to the FloorSmart app on your smart device, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your smart device. The Orion 950 will automatically pair with your smart device when the power is on and the device is within Bluetooth range.
